Just checked to see if the Japanese release date for the new Sherlock Holmes movie is December 25th (the same as the US) or December 26 (the same as the UK). It turns out the Japanese release date is April 3rd. Bah, humbug!

Do you know enough Japanese to understand it? Or are all the films over there subbed?
Foreign films in Japan are usually shown at cinemas in two versions subtitled or dubbed. If there is only one version of a foreign movie it will usually be the subtitled version.
DVDs have made things much simpler when renting a movie in Japan. When I first arrived I would sometimes pick up the dubbed version by accident.
