Okinawa Aquarium in Guardian newspaper and online.

A few minutes ago Guardian photographer David Levene sent me this link.

Just made my day!

I will blog more later about the use of audio recorders and taking shots for slideshows, but for now I think I’ll just chill out and smile.

What a brilliant slideshow. It captures the magnificence of the aquarium.
Andrew passsed me the 2 page spread by David Levene in the Guardian Thursday 9 April – it was the composite shot showing Mount Ogiyama No-Yaki fire festival in Beppu.
Is the aquarium picture going to be in the paper?
Did you take any of the photos or were you just the sound recordist?

    Brilliant job anyway.

I think the aquarium photo was in the paper yesterday (Tuesday).

His sumo photo was in a couple of weeks ago.

Haven’t seen the Ogiyama No-Yaki shot yet. Will try and find it online.

I pressed the shutter every second on Dave’s tripod mounted second camera to get the Whale Shark swimming across the tank. I didn’t take any photographs with my camera.

Hope Andrew was impressed by the aquarium. Tell him to hurry up and come for a visit!

Chris that is brilliant. Smile big, you deserve it! Love the stop motion slideshow on the whale shark, that can`t have been easy and it looks fantastic. Those little successes we have and hope to build on are the best thing. So enjoy the smile as long as you can.
Makes me want to go there for sure.

    Damon,

You give me too much credit! Dave set up his second camera on the tripod and while he was getting other shots I pressed the shutter every second when a whale shark swam past.

Come visit any time, you’re always welcome.

    Chris
