That is a wonderful image. They have to be quite used to people, to let you get this close to a juvenile.
I thought there is a similar monkey place in Miyazaki, Kyushu. Meanwhile, it seems gaijin are not impressed by monkey shows in New Year days at shrines and temples. Do they feel it is cruel to animals?
