    Hi Chris,

your approach & work are fabulous !
How do you feel with the new Pentax 645D vs Film ?
and regarding high end DSLR systems like the D3X ?
Dynamic range seems very good & your low light shots are stunning in terms of clarity, detail and out-of focus rendition.
Is the Af of the Pentax precise or do you still work manually ?
I use for the moment Bronica GS-1 67 film system which has very sharp lenses, but the mirror is a bit too noisy some times for walkaround shooting.

    thanks for your replies,

    Florian.

      Florian,

The differences between using the film 67II and the 645D has been mainly the speed with which you can see the images (and get them to clients), the number of shots that you can take (film / processing costs are not an issue), the ability to check the image and reshoot if it’s not right (great for adjusting the lighting when in the studio).

Comparing it to the flagship models from Canon and Nikon is like comparing apples and oranges. AF speed, low light shooting, frames per second, availability of lenses are better in top Canon / Nikon models. However, for the way I shoot, manual focus, somewhat slow and methodical, the Pentax 645D is great.

      Chris
