Another brief note to say that I’ll be back to posting soon. The Trevor Williams workshops went great, have done several portfolio shoots with local models, another couple of karate master portraits and slowly getting to grips with underwater photography. Along with that there’s been the usual drama with a computer that occasionally misplaces hard drives (hooray for Time Machine) and a labrador that is continually shedding hair.

Dear Chris,
Take your time!
We, the wife and I, are off to your country of origin on a very private photo safari, bringing everything, camera-wise, we manage to carry. From APS-C to CX (aka from K-5 to V1), but also including the quite amazing NEX-5N and my wife’s OM-D – a lovely camera, to say the least.
After long deliberating we concluded that long shots will be the prime role for the V1 (using the superb Nikon AF-S 70-300 G), while wide shots will be the role for the K-5, while my NEX will be used with the super-sharp Zeiss 1.8/24 for ‘normal’ shots, and the wife’s various m3/4 lenses (9-150mm) being used by her on the OM-D.
Hope to see, and shoot, a lot of aircraft, boats, birds, and friends, during our four weeks stay!
