Taj Mahal at Dawn
A classic (arguably cliche) shot of the Taj Mahal at dawn. You can’t help being a little awestruck. The color of the marble changes through the day depending on the light. After 7AM the light starts to get harsh and hordes of tourists begin to arrive.

Some might argue that Joseph is too big to be riding a bicycle, but I’d rather not argue with him at all. He crushes the competition in any sport he sets his mind to. It is rumored that he can pick up his opponents and pulverize them between his muscles, like walnuts in a nut cracker.

On my last day in Varanasi, I tried to get some shots of families that were congregating on the river bank. Many had made long journeys across India to bathe in the Ganges. Often the group had 3 or 4 generations all bathing together.

Two Sadhus – Varanasi, India
It was nice to be able to get two Sadhus into the same photograph. This was taken with an aperture of F5.6. If I’d shot any wider, I’d have completely blurred out the sadhu in the background, and lost the composition. After taking the photo, I moved up the steps and shot a closer portrait of the sadhu that had been in the background in the previous image.
