Itsukshima Fireswork Festival, Miyajima, Hiroshima. The image I had in my mind was to try and get the famous torii gate silhouette with exploding fireworks behind it. When the event took place, I pressed the shutter a little late on one frame. Rather than capturing the initial burst I had the glowing embers of the firework creating a rising sun behind the gate. This chance shot has become one of my favorite images. Sometimes a little bit of luck is just what a photographer needs.
